Swetha Mysore Seshadri

Swetha is a Patent advisor with extensive experience in IP both as an in-house IP Advisor and Patent Engineer who has worked for small and large companies. Swetha holds a bachelor's degree in electrical and electronics engineering from India.

At Acapo-Onsagers Swetha has worked with clients on handling prosecution of patent applications, competitors patent analysis and monitoring, patentability and prior art searches and some drafting of patent applications in the area of electrical, warehouse technology, maritime and offshore technology, sensor systems and electronic applications and oil field services.

She has experience previously working with clients such as Tata Consultancy Services, Samsung India Software Operations and Alcatel Lucent India. Swetha's areas of interest are electronics and communication systems, ultrasonic sensors and renewable energy.

Swetha has experience as an in-house IP person and patent engineer with TE Connectivity Norway, where she has worked with inventors to guide them in identifying potential IP. Conducting freedom to operate analysis, competitor analysis and monitoring searches, novelty and prior art searches. She has also worked with teams to conduct idea generation sessions to explore new areas of product development within the company. Swetha has worked as a patent analyst and senior patent analyst with IP firm in India, where her responsibilities included preparation of patent specifications for clients in India and the United States, prosecution of applications, and surveillance of competitors.

She has worked with clients from various industries including telecommunications systems, electronics and sensors, environmental technology and ultrasonic sensors for the automotive industry.

Swetha is also undertaking the EQE to qualify as a European Patent Attorney. She has passed the papers F, M1 and M2 as EQE candidate.

Swetha has worked at Acapo-Onsagers AS since April 2021 and is based in the Bergen office.
