Areas of Expertise
Per has a great interest for the strategic part of intellectual property rights, and the focus of the work is how correct strategy and establishment of rights may improve the competitive position of the company. He has broad experience from the field of industrial property, and preparations and processing of patent applications in Norway and abroad, as well as consultancy in matters of patent infringement and invalidity.
Per works with consultancy with respect to protection, use, compliance with and enforcement of intellectual property rights focusing on patents in the fields of petroleum and geophysics, geology, seismic, marine technology and aquaculture. He has worked with intellecutal property since 1992, both in the Norwegian Industrial Property Office as an examiner and as a patent attorney.
Per has experience as an expert lay judge in the Norwegian courts, and as an appointed expert in the district court. He has also assisted as a patent consultant and as an expert witness in legal disputes before the court.
Per has a cand.scient degree in geophysics from the University of Bergen (UoB).
Per is based in our office in Fredrikstad. His working languages are Norwegian and English. He is a member of the Norwegian Patent Engineers Association (FICPI) and the Institute of Professional Representatives before the European Patent Office (Epi).
