Kim Livgard is a registered European Patent Attorney whose IP career includes five years as a Patent Examiner in the Norwegian Patent Office and nine years at one of Europe’s largest IP consulting firms. He joined Onsagers in October 2015 as a partner in the firm’s Oslo office.
Key Experience
Kim has more than 14 years of experience in the field of IP law, working with a variety of clients, from small start-ups to large multinational corporations. Most of these are in diverse technical sectors, ranging from biotech, chemical and pharmaceutical sciences to medical devices, diagnostic tools and instrumentation.
His opinion and counselling practice includes the areas of infringement, validity, freedom-to-operate advice and patent term extension. He is experienced in evaluating and responding to infringement allegations, as well as providing ‘design-around’ advice and risk analysis. In the field of patents, Kim handles preparation, prosecution, opposition and appeal of Norwegian and European patents.
