Ingrid Wetlesen Davanger

Ingrid Wetlesen Davanger is an Attorney-at-Law and Partner at Acapo Onsagers, with particular expertise in marketing law, trademark law, and contractual matters relating to intellectual property rights.

Ingrid advises Norwegian and international clients on strategic legal matters and dispute resolution within these areas. She has extensive experience handling cases involving unfair business practices, product imitation, misleading marketing, trademark protection, and the enforcement of intellectual property rights.

She works closely with clients across a wide range of industries, including consumer goods, retail, entertainment, and technology, and has extensive experience in the development and implementation of IP strategies. Ingrid also assists clients with the registration, enforcement, and commercial exploitation of intellectual property rights, both nationally and internationally.

Ingrid regularly represents clients before The Council Dealing with Unfair Marketing Practices (Næringslivets konkurranseutvalg - NKU), the District Courts, and the Courts of Appeal, and advises clients in complex disputes relating to marketing law and intellectual property law.

Ingrid is a member of The Market Council (Markedsrådet), an independent administrative tribunal and the highest administrative appeals authority for decisions issued by the Norwegian Consumer Authority under the Norwegian Marketing Control Act. Decisions of the Market Council are final and may only be reviewed by the courts. Through this appointment, Ingrid remains closely involved in developments within Norwegian marketing law and key legal issues affecting the commercial landscape.
