IP Consultant, Patent Attorney

Hannah works in our patent department as a trainee. She holds an M.Sc. in Biotechnology from The University of Edinburgh, as well as a First-Class B.Sc. (Hons) in the Biological Sciences. Hannah can assist with a range of biotechnological and pharmaceutical cases, with a special interest within genetic engineering, synthetic biology, immunology and medical devices.
For her Master’s project, she developed a method for genetic engineering of biosynthetic pathways in Cyanobacteria to increase amino acid production for various biotechnological uses. This project was used for the University’s contribution to an international genetic engineering competition, with the gene editing receiving a nomination for the Best New Part. Throughout her Undergraduate Honours project, she designed a postulate polyvalent vaccine to treat bacterial infections.
Hannah joined Acapo in January 2024, and is based at Acapo’s office in Bergen. She will be sitting the EQE exams to qualify as a European Patent Attorney.
