Areas of Expertise
Bodil works as a Norwegian and European professional representative within the field of patent and design law, specialized in the area of biotechnology, aquaculture and mechanics. She deals principally with preparation and prosecution of patent applications in Norway and abroad, as well as with oppositions, freedom-to-operate analysis, conflicts, and the evaluation of infringements in patent rights.
Bodil has worked as a professional representative since 1998, and joined Acapo in 2013. Bodil holds a Master’s Degree from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, majoring in Chemistry/Biotechnology. She completed her professional patent education through the Scandinavian Patent Attorney Society in Stockholm, and passed the final exam in 2004. She is also a qualified European Patent Attorney. In 2019 Bodil qualified as litigator at the Unified Patent Court in Europe.
She is a member of EPI, FICPI and FONIP (Association for Norwegian IP advisers, the national FICPI organization in Norway).
